About
ph1012.com started off as an SMF web forum created with the intention of invoking discussion about web related stuff (tutorials, cool things, etc), game cheats, computer stuff (again more tutorials, programing, etc) as well as supplying patches for the popular gaming client “Steam” & areas to upload media for free.
Eventually over time the traffic began to rise and the amount of posts slowly crept up, but not long after the rise in activity came an eerie silence in the forums, with nothing but new users registering to leech cheats for popular Grand Theft Auto online mods (usually SA-MP), often firing question after question regarding support in operating said cheat until they would disappear never to be seen again.
Occasionally they would dwindle outside of the GTA cheats section, racking up a post or two in the forums, but more often than not their posts wouldn’t be anything worth contributing.
Although the traffic directed towards the site was constantly growing, (with new leeches coming to register every day, and post in the GTA section every other day) the interaction between members and staff that was seen at Bust3d.net (a former domain operated by myself prior to ph1012.com, more orientated towards offering Steam Accounts for free Via clients and FPS cheats – both for free and for sale.) was not present.
In a last ditch attempt to revive the activity of the site the administrators of the forums put together a second steam client, featuring slightly more secure encryption compared to the previous client. Unfortunately this new encryption proved not good enough, and the ever-present forum leeches quickly sapped all the accounts from the client (changing the passwords) before the second day of release.
Around this time Ph1012.com also began supplying the communities of SA:MP & Garry’s Mod with “Ph1012.com” servers, this did induce a rise in activity, but it proved only temporary and dependent on the PH1012.com clan’s activity.
After a few more months of inactivity in the forums I decided to close them, and change to this new content management system that I feel is more appropriate for the Software-Output function we serve on the internet, rather than attempting to emphasize the community & discussion aspect of the website – the discussion can still occur in our articles, our comments sections, IRC server/channel or game servers.
Recently I’ve changed our URL and name to more accurately describe the content of the site and are accessible via the following addresses:
